Blooming Rainbow is a community art exchange project with the support of the Sister City organizations in Baltimore, Maryland, USA and Changwon, South Korea. Weekly art lessons taught by graduate students and artists for underserved children were held in both cities during the period February – June, 2022. The project was led in Baltimore by Maryland Institute College of Art graduate student Ara Ko and in Changwon by Chaeyeon Hong, MFA. 2018 Youth Leadership Summit Impact
Sister Cities International’s Youth Leadership Summit offers high school youth from around the world the opportunity to meet with like-minded peers to learn about global challenges while exploring the field of international affairs and diplomacy. The 2018 Youth Leadership Summit focused on the theme of “Immigrants and Refugees.”

Tempe Sister Cities Receives Award from U.S. Department of State
WASHINGTON, DC – Tempe, Arizona Sister Cities has been named as one of three recipients of the U.S. State Department’s annual 2020 Citizen Diplomacy award. Headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, the organization was selected out of a record 22 nomination this year. Awards are presented to one winner and two runner up positions.
“Sister Cities has been one of our nominating partners since day one. Tempe Sister Cities stood out for their creative youth programs and teacher exchanges,” said a State Department spokesperson.
